Gabriella (better known as Gabby) is a full time student at the University of California, San Diego. She is pursuing a degree in Political Science. She was originally recruited to UCSD to row. While she valued her rowing experience both in high school and in college, she decided to focus her efforts on new activities that would help her develop leadership skills and expand her work experience.
She joined the National Society of Leadership and Success. The National Society of Leadership and Success is an honor society that has traditionally had a large presence on the east cost. She stepped in as Secretary for its 2014-15 year, and, because of her performance in this role, she was offered the opportunity to take on the Presidency for its 2015-16 year and again for her senior year (2016-17). She has continued to ensure that the chapter is firmly established as a successful organization on campus that is poised to continue to develop and grow.
In order to broaden her passion and experience in business, she began the internship program at La Jolla Holding Co. She is hoping to gain experience and a broad range of skills in finance and investor relations throughout her internship.
Vienna, a San Diego native, recently graduated from Phillips Academy, a boarding school in Andover, Massachusetts. There, she was co-captain of her crew team and co-president of a group of dormitories. Active in many other areas across campus, Vienna was also an avid singer and volunteer, a tour guide for prospective applicants, and served as a student representative on the school’s Disciplinary Committee.
Vienna spends her summers in San Diego and will be attending Stanford University beginning in the fall of 2016. She plans to major in Human Biology and minor in English, but her interests span a much wider area, everything from writing to venture capitalism. Her prior work experience is a reflection of her flexibility and diverse passions.
In the future, Vienna hopes to work in a biological field with a business focus, which led her to the internship program at La Jolla Holding Company. She will hone more traditionally business-oriented skills in areas such as entrepreneurship and investment through projects covering social media strategy, investor relations, and more.
